Job Vacancy – Administrative Assistant

We are recruiting for an Administration Assistant to join our successful family run business.

  • Immediate start for the right candidate,
  • Salary – Competitive
  • Monday to Friday, 9am-5pm.
  • Full time permanent employment.

What the role will entail:

  • To provide full support to the weighbridge operator, to provide cover in their absence, including daily breaks and annual leave.
  • Be the first port of call to answer all incoming phone calls.
  • Complete any general day to day administration.
  • Provide support to sale department.
  • Data entry via Excel.
  • Responsibility for post room function and franking.
  • Oversee office stationery supplies.
  • Provide point of contact for external IT supplier.
  • Sort and file company records.


The ideal candidate will possess the following:

  • Previous experience in an office administrator role
  • Excellent knowledge of Excel & Word
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Proven customer service experience, face to face, or over the telephone
  • Ability to work under pressure, in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to work on own initiative
